> This photo is part of an on-going
series that started with throwing a small painting on a
wood panel from my studio into the snow. Through this
series I explore the relationship of painting and nature:
how painting is some ways is nothing more than coloured
mud, as much of nature as we are. The different photos
explore the different aspect of the materiality of paint:
fluidity, support, pigment, binder. Through the issue of
scale (a tiny painting in a large, sometimes sublime
landscape), I try to express my own existential anxiety at
being a painter.
