> A fly landed on my palette and died. I found this moment completely arresting. I have often dreamed of rolling myself in paint, painting with my body and my hair. I have also thought about using my dog as a paint brush (he likes me pushing him around on the ground to rub his back) as a mock attempt at inventing a new painterly gesture. But anyway, here is a simple fly that drowned in paint. Macabre and ridiculous, facile and serious in equal measure. Fits in perfectly with my love hate relationship with paint.
