> This piece is composed of offcuts of the previous one "Painting is exhibiting curious symptoms". I am interested here again in where an expressive, historically emotional, potentially loaded gesture meets a mechanical edge. The shiny, ultra-flat surface is more akin to that of a photograph or mechanical reproduction and therefore poses questions about the determination of value in art.
