> The original glass globe broke in transit on the way to New York in 2017 and the shards damaged most of the origami cranes. But even just being left with the wood base, I felt that the work really needed to be in the show so New York being New York and with the help of friends, I managed to find a new glass globe to fit the base and enough origami paper to remake the sculpture. This is how the second version of the work looked. I was relieved that it found a home in New York.
