> This was the first painting directly onto acetate which then gave me the idea of wanting to do a alrge-scale painting on glass and the proposal for the Heals residency.
> Using a photo taken in Swizterland during the winter of a stream flowing under the slow which immediately made me think of paint. This piece corresponds to a vision I often have when in a snow covered landscape: the snow is like a white canvas with the life it covers being like painting trying to break through it. I am still working on an appropriate way of framing this.
> Details of framing: there is a gap between the acetate and the frame at the bottom. This work is as much about the material as it is about the image:

> Close-up detail: in places the paint was scraped off the acetate and painted again from behind. The brush stroked are broken and interwoven:
